There are six games that have been released on Steam today that not only fit the cozy game vibes, but also benefit a cozy cause as well. If supporting a game that makes an impact is important to you, then you’ll want to check out the list below!
You’ll also find a Pokémon-like and a Tamagotchi-style game below if recapturing elements of your childhood is the sort of cozy you’re looking for.
We do our best not to highlight games that use Generative AI at any level of development or marketing. At the time of posting, these games have not reported or disclosed using Gen AI. Likewise, all articles are written and edited by humans… as evidenced by our occasional errors.
Cozy games released on January 7th, 2026

Tiny Paws
Tiny Paws is an idle clicker game that sits across a portion of your desktop. Build unique habitats for various animals and benefit from their unique productivity traits. With no timers and the ability to automate routines, you’ll keep making strides so long as the game is open. This game has pledged to give 15 cents from every sale to a charity supporting animals.
EvoCreo
EvoCreo is a turn-based combat adventure RPG, great for anyone looking for a Pokémon-like experience. Capture over 170 Creo, explore regions, and battle your way across the land as you search for your missing father. Along the way, you’ll uncover a nefarious plot by an organization known as Shadow Hive. All Creo can be evolved, but some of them have multiple evolutionary paths that depend on your decisions.

Bots & Mods
Bots & Mods is a robot workshop simulator. Set in a cyberpunk city, you’ll repair and upgrade robots, craft components, and gather required materials. Meet quirky characters, keep your customers happy, and upgrade yourself and your tools to run your shop even more efficiently.
Even more cozy games!
- Oriko Days – Simulation, Tamagotchi-like
- Desktop Dice – Idler, Clicker
- Putt It In Orbit – Mini Gold, Sports, 3D Platformer
Which games are you adding to your list? I love the fact that Tiny Paws is donating a portion of every sale to help animals. I’m interested in Oriko Days to recapture the youth of Tamagotchi, but I always let my little guys die… Whoops.
If none of these games keep your virtual pets alive, you can check out the Cozy Games Today tag for more recently released cozy games out on Steam!
