Lost and Found Co. is a hidden object adventure game where you play as Ducky, a little duck turned into a human by the Dragon Goddess of War, Mei. Through a series of events, you find yourself at the mercy of Mei and her new idea of a Lost and Found company. You’ll go through story mode and requests to help people find lost objects.

There’s a lot of narrative story to Lost and Found Co., so you don’t have to worry about it just being one lost object after another. But, even if that’s what you want, you can employ skip buttons that will allow you to bypass all the dialogue and cutscenes to just enjoy the peace and quiet of searching.

The main story has 10 levels to sift through that tell a tale of a Goddess in need and a larger corporation trying to overtake the city. On the side, you can filter through requests from others, so it’s double, if not triple, the number of scenarios you can help find objects in.

Additionally, most areas will have secondary and optional tasks that you can complete if you’re interested in a great challenge. The normal objects tend to be in plain sight, but may require you click items to move them as what you need may be hidden behind. With the optional tasks, it can be a series of things you need to find or a vague prompt to complete.

For instance, you may be asked to find 8 animals that are unique to the area or help settle an argument with fruit people. With normal objects required by the level, you have a handy hint system that will give you a clue as to where to find the object. But, with optional tasks, you’re on your own! There’s no hint system for finishing those. I wish there was, but I do appreciate that this setup caters to all levels of difficulty and you’re not blocked from progress for the harder to find things.

There’s another hint system in place, but you won’t be introduced to it until the fifth main story level. As you play through the levels, you may notice items that are grey and shaking. When you click them, they explode into what looks like ink that gets bottled up, but you’re not given an explanation as to what they do just yet.

Eventually, we find out they’re cursed spirits that you bottle and can use on hints. As a rule, hints are vague, but if you still can’t get it, this is where the spirits come into play. Once used, the hint tells you exactly what to do.

The art in Lost and Found Co. is beautiful, hand-drawn, and filled with vibrant colors. It creates a scenery that you want to sink into and relax with. As for character designs, I found them to be diverse and varied. I immensely enjoyed the nods to anime influences in some of the designs.

I don’t know if it was intentional, even though I feel it had to be, but I get immense joy in Mei’s design. She resembles MaoMao from The Apothecary Diaries so much and as someone who is a big fan of the anime, it delights me.

The sound design from the music to the ambiance is really nice. I tend to turn off background music, but the music for this game is so upbeat and chipper that I’m tempted to keep it on. And, a note for streamers, the music is safe to keep on while recording! The music is orginal and the developer has given their permission for it to be used.

Eventually, you’ll unlock milestones and a room editor feature that will allow you to customize Ducky’s office and personal space with found items.

I’ve always enjoyed hidden object games, so you can take my word for it that I know when we’re looking at something truly special. Lost and Found Co. will appeal to many groups of cozy gamers, not just the ones that enjoy hidden object games. I think it’s a delightfully cozy experience to sink into and if you’re on the fence as to whether you’d enjoy playing it or not, give the demo a try.

I can’t recommend Lost and Found Co. enough. If you’re looking for cozy, a bright atmosphere, and a side of humor, you’ve found it in Lost and Found Co..
