Tavern Keeper
The long wait is over for Tavern Keeper! This management sim merges with sandbox building by letting you combine items or add magical effects to create unique items to decorate with. Manage the tavern and staff while handling day-to-day issues. Along the way, you’ll make choices with your magical storybook that will shape the story you’re telling.
Babbling Brook
Babbling Brook is an adorable physics-based puzzle game where you manipulate sand and rocks to create streams from the top of the mountains down to the seas. Your goal is to get rubber ducks all the way to the ocean. Encounter varying sizes and types of ducks, and collect points to open up more levels. Or, switch to bridge mode and focus on getting streams under the bridges.
Dream Garden
Dream Garden is a sandbox builder that allows you to build the zen garden of your dreams. Creative freedom is at your fingertips as you decide the size, shape, terrain, weather, and time of day of your zen garden. Personalize every aspect by changing the colors and shapes of items. Spoiler alert: I’ve played this one and it’s absolutely LOVELY.
NoSlack Pets: Lo-Fi Paws
NoSlack Pets: Lo-Fi Paws is a desktop companion that is designed to help you stay focused, wrapped up in an adorable package. Enjoy a gift box to open every 30 minutes to win headgear and earn Paw Coin/XP every minute to buy decorations for your room. Idle alone with a pomodoro timer, Lo-Fi music, and white noise, or jump into an online study room to idle with others. If you want a bit more interactivity, you can play a few mini-games or use a claw machine to get more gift boxes!
Legends of Dragaea: Idle Dungeons
Legends of Dragaea: Idle Dungeons pulls hard on my nostalgic heartstrings. It’s a pixelated Idle dungeon crawler where you can form parties and raid dungeons. You’ll encounter enemies, complete quests, form a guild, grow your town, upgrade your gear, and learn unique abilities to skill up your party. And you’ll do it all as idle or as active as you like.
Bigfoot Life
Bigfoot Life is an exploration survival simulator that puts you in the role of the elusive Bigfoot. Choose between Normal, Survival, or Free Roam modes to play the way you want. Explore the forest, catch fish/insects/creatures for food, forage, build shelters, skill up, and unlock rewards for being the guardian of the forest. Just beware of Bigfoot hunters trying to take pictures of you.
Which games from this list are you most intrigued by? Personally, I can’t recommend Dream Garden or Tavern Keeper enough, but I’m also interested in NoSlack Pets: Lo-fi Paws.
