January 7th is Old Rock Day… yes, really. So, what better way to celebrate than with cozy geology games? Admittedly, one of these games surrounds fossils and we could argue that that’s more suitable for paleontology. However, fossils can sometimes be rocks and I wanted to offer a varied option.
So, let’s just all agree that fossils belong on this list!
We do our best not to highlight games that use Generative AI at any level of development or marketing. At the time of posting, these games have not reported or disclosed using Gen AI. Likewise, all articles are written and edited by humans… as evidenced by our occasional errors.
3 cozy geology games

Gemporium: A Cute Mining Sim
Gemporium: A Cute Mining Sim lets you mine, refine, and sell gemstones in a fast-paced shop management setup. You’ll play as an adorable mole and spend your time creating the perfect stones to sell for profit that you can use to upgrade your operation. And, with the Cozy Mode option that turns off daily timers, you don’t have to stress about getting it all done as fast as possible!
Fossil Corner
Fossil Corner is a puzzle-based game where you collect fossils and solve evolutionary puzzles with them. Decorate your room and display your fossils as you work to complete your collection! Each puzzle is procedurally generated, so you can keep playing without it feeling stagnant.

DigDigDrill
DigDigDrill is a mining and resource-collecting game where you’ll search for ores and treasures. With collected minerals, you’ll be able to create new drills to reach lower depths. This game is a bit more of a grind, so if that’s not your brand of cozy, you may want to second-guess this one.
If you don’t dig any of these games, you can check out some more of my most recent lists. 3 cozy bird games or 3 cozy games to snuggle up with might be more your speed!
