We posted a whopping 64 scored reviews this year and had to ask which were the best cozy games from 2025? Our reviews spanned a bunch of different game types, with most of them being from smaller indie devs. And this number is not including previews or demos, which we don’t score.
So, while we can’t claim to be the authority on what the peak of coziness is, since that’s fairly individual, we can say that we’ve played a LOT of games this year. And, if you’re looking for what we thought was the best of the best, then this list is a fantastic place to start to find your next cozy masterpiece.
All of the games listed below got a perfect score of 10. We ran into no technical issues, the games played well, and we had an overall great time with them.
Best Cozy Games of 2025

WYRMHALL: Brush and Banter
Quick Verdict: WYRMHALL: Brush and Banter is an incredibly charming little game that lets you play as a Goblin cleaning various magical objects. The environment and character design will keep you engaged the whole time just to see what the new day will throw at you.
Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping
Quick Verdict: Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping brings us more of the same from the first game, where you put words into blank sentences to figure out the mystery. Honestly? I don’t have any complaints. I loved the first game and I was happy to play more of the same formula. The fact that this game is nearly twice as long is an added bonus.

Bugtopia
Quick Verdict: Bugtopia is an absolute steal. There are literal weeks of gameplay value here for only $6. It’s not just idling either, there is a lot of active playing here, as well as customization of your tanks. Seriously, I can’t recommend Bugtopia enough.
Squeakross: Home Squeak Home
Quick Verdict: Squeakross: Home Squeak Home isn’t just a nonogram puzzler; it takes the fun of figuring out the correct image and gives it a purpose. Each puzzle you correctly complete yields that specific item that you can use to decorate your space or your rat. It’s a lovely little way to wind down while expressing creative freedom.

Tall Trails
Quick Verdict: Tall Trails is a 3-6 hour game where you explore the landscape through platforming. The level of difficulty scaled well without being frustrating. I enjoyed the entirety of this game, from the gameplay and aesthetics to the music. Tall Trails is a great game for a cozy gamer’s shelf.
Dream Garden
Quick Verdict: If you enjoy creating things in sandbox builders, Dream Garden is a no-brainer for you. I had very few problems navigating things, and it’s all laid out in a way that is easy to maneuver.

Little Corners
Quick Verdict: Little Corners is a decorating game where you place stickers to create a beautiful space. Each room is different and has unique items to decorate with. It’s truly a joy to spend some time with.
This Ain’t Even Poker, Ya Joker
Quick Verdict: This Ain’t Even Poker, Ya Joker really rides that balance of making you feel productive, while not handing everything to you all at once. It’s the type of game you can actively work on or leave for a few hours for a boon. With a prestige-type system, you don’t really hit a wall and continue to feel like a non-poker-playing badass.
