Steam Autumn Sale just ended, and while it benefited PC cozy gamers, I wanted to bring some love to console gamers by highlighting some cozy games that are on sale on the Nintendo Switch systems through the Nintendo eShop. Since it’s not a set event, the end dates for these sales are all over the place and some of them are quite soon, so be mindful of that if you plan to pick anything up.
For your convenience, I’ve arranged them in the order that they’re going to be leaving sales, starting with the ones that have smaller windows up front.
We do our best not to highlight cozy games that use Generative AI at any level of development or marketing. At the time of posting, these games have not reported or disclosed using Gen AI. Likewise, all articles are written and edited by humans… as evidenced by our occasional errors.
Nintendo Switch Cozy Games on Sale
Cat Cafe Manager
Cat Cafe Manager is a shop simulator with management elements. You’re tasked with rebuilding your grandma’s cat cafe in the village of Caterwaul Way. You’ll renovate your shop, befriend the locals, and grow your clowder of cats that stay in your cafe. Along the way, you may uncover the mystery of a crumbling shrine to an old feline god out in the forests. Cat Cafe Manager has a 70% off sale, making it $5.99 until October 11th.
Mail Time
Mail Time is a platforming game where you are a newly trained Mail Scout on your first mission to deliver mail across a valley of inhabitants. This game is filled to the brim with whimsy. The artstyle is easily one of the coziest that I’ve been able to play in and while it’s a platformer, I found it to be fairly easy to navigate around, so you don’t have to worry about getting stuck or frustrated. Mail Time has a 70% off sale, making it $5.99 until October 11th.
D-topia
D-topia is a puzzle adventure game where artificial intelligence has set the conditions for maximum happiness. You take on the role of the newest Facilitator, and through puzzles, you’ll keep the residents happy and the facility running. Your choices matter and will impact the well-being of residents. When you’re not in the bright, happy spaces that residents reside in, you’ll see the other side of what it takes to run these facilities and slip into the murkier “block side” to fix glitches and uncover secrets. D-topia has a 20% off sale, making it $15.99 until October 12th.
Cattle Country
Cattle Country is a cowboy adventure life sim where you play as a pioneer traveling to the West to make a new life. You’ll make your home in the mountains and build up a ranch where you till your own land and take care of your cattle. When you’re not tending to your farm, you can head into the mines to score treasure, build up friendships, and figure out if one of the 18 romanceable characters is the right match for you. Just keep an eye out for bandits that you’ll need to protect your homestead from. Cattle Country has a 30% off sale, making it $17.49 until October 12th.
Mika and The Witch’s Mountain
Mika and The Witch’s Mountain is a fantasy adventure game where you play as Mika, an aspiring witch trying to prove herself. You’ll soar through the skies, delivering packages around a small island. I had a lot of fun zooming all over the island. There’s a good balance of delivering packages and getting to go off on side quests. Mika and The Witch’s Mountain has a 50% off sale, making it $9.99 until October 12th.
Kabuto Park
Kabuto Park is primarily a bug collection game, but it has deck-building elements. Spend a month on summer vacation playing as a little girl named Hana. You’ll catch bugs and level them up before picking a team to compete in the Summer Beetle Battles. Each bug you pick will add cards to your deck that can be used during the fight. Build up the best team that you can and become the Summer Beetle Battles Champion! Kabuto Park is in a bundle pack with Minami Lane; neither is on sale individually. The bundle is 30% off, making it $6.29 for both games until October 12th.
Minami Lane
Minami Lane is a management sim where you build up a Japanese-inspired street with buildings in order to take care of the locals. Place homes, restaurants, convenience stores, and more to cater to what the population wants. There are a few levels, each with different requirements for completion. You can customize the way the buildings look and upgrade them for greater appeal. Manage the inventory for shops and check in with the villagers to see how everything is faring. The game is short, but it’s a really good way to spend a few hours. Minami Lane is in a bundle pack with Kabuto Park; neither is on sale individually. The bundle is 30% off, making it $6.29 for both games until October 12th.
What Remains of Edith Finch
What Remains of Edith Finch is a collection of tales about the Finch family. Playing as Edith, you’ll explore the Finch house, learn stories about the family that came before, and try to figure out why you’re the last one standing. Each story lets you embody that time and person on the day of their death. What Remains of Edith Finch has a 75% off sale, making it $4.99 until October 12th.
Wanderstop
Wanderstop is a farming and life sim that puts a twist on the cozy environment by introducing a main character who is reluctant to live a simpler life. You’ll play through the struggles in a gorgeous setting with cozy tasks as you run an interesting tea shop where you grow and harvest ingredients. If you want to interact with people, you’ll learn their stories, but you can simply exist on a bench with a cup of tea if that’s what you want. This game is about healing and that looks different for everyone. Wanderstop has a 20% off sale, making it $19.99 until October 12th.
Alba: A Wildlife Adventure
Alba: A Wildlife Adventure is an exploration game where you play as Alba, a little girl visiting her grandparents on a Mediterranean island. You’ll wander around taking pictures of wildlife, cleaning up messes, helping animals, and maybe even thwarting a corporate takeover! This game is the definition of freedom for me. I could run in any direction and have something to do. It was so relaxing to just sink into the game with no timers or challenges. LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga has an 80% off sale, making it $11.99 until October 13th.
TOEM 2
TOEM 2 is a platforming photography adventure game set a few years after the original TOEM game. Return to the black-and-white world to photograph the mysterious “events” known as TOEM’s. Platform your way up buildings to get a new vantage point and make your way through several new regions. Along the way, you’ll meet quirky characters, find hidden paths, and fill your journal with stamps you get from progressing through the game. TOEM 2 has a 15% off sale, making it $16.99 until October 13th.
