October evokes ultimate cozy vibes. Autumn is rolling in and you generally want to stay inside where it’s warm and cozy. So, here are some cozy games that you can look forward to that are coming to Nintendo Switch and Steam this October.
As a note, pay attention to the links that I post because most of the Nintendo Switch 2 games are also available on Steam if that’s your preferred platform and with Steam, they’re generally already released.

New cozy games coming in October 2026 to Nintendo Switch 2
The Witch’s Bakery
The Witch’s Bakery is a 2D Adventure game where you run a bakery, explore Paris, and dive into people’s hearts to help heal emotions. Not only will you be able to run and decorate your own bakery in Paris, but you get to make the baked goods with a series of mini-games too! When you’re not baking, you get to walk around the city and talk to people. You’ll even get to help your friends with a little bit of well-placed magic. The art in this game is so lovely and gives me strong Studio Ghibli vibes.

House Flipper 2
House Flipper 2 is a sequel to the original House Flipper game, where you’d buy up houses, fix them up, and flip them for profit. You’ll enjoy more of the same experience, but now you’re able to play with friends and build things from scratch! With up to four friends, you can play in sandbox mode or go through story mode together. You can expect to encounter new mechanics and various new locations.

Harvest Moon®: Echoes of Teradea
Harvest Moon®: Echoes of Teradea is the newest installment in the Harvest Moon series. In it, you’ll journey across the world of Teredea, where farming meets adventure. It has massive open-world exploration, romance and relationships, an animal companion system, expanded player movement, campsites and a travel system, and mini challenges hidden throughout the world.

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort™
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is reminiscent of Wii Sports in that you’ll use your controllers to play a series of sports games. There are 12 sports that you’ll be able to play: boxing, table tennis, archery, tennis, volleyball, bowling, basketball, golf, thumb wrestling, skateboarding, power cruising, jump rope, and an additional game of flying a prop plane. Your avatar can be one you create in the game or your own Mii character.

ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet
ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet is a new shopkeeper sim set in the One Piece universe. You’ll build up a floating cafe at sea with Sanji at the helm. You’ll be responsible for creating the menu, decorating the cafe, and satisfying the customers! When you’re not running the restaurant, you can search the high seas for new ingredients in a little window that drops down beneath the cafe. With the use of different Devil Fruit powers, you can change the way a dish tastes. As you play, you’ll encounter over 400 characters from the One Piece series.

The Séance of Blake Manor
The Séance of Blake Manor is a detective mystery puzzler set in 1897 Ireland, where you try to solve the disappearance of Evelyn Deane. Interview and interrogate the patrons of the manor and search for clues to help you solve the mystery. Just be mindful of your time; every action counts down the day.

Hello Kitty Party Land
Hello Kitty Party Land is a party game filled with mini-games that you can play with up to 4 players. You’ll be able to customize your own character and enjoy a world with over 140 Sanrio characters! There are over 40 character-themed mini-games and board games. Choose from 16 partner characters, collect stickers, and more! It’ll be available on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Forever Ago is a story-rich adventure where you play as Alfred, a man on a journey of redemption. You’ll go on a road trip to visit beautiful places, snap pictures with your camera, and perhaps make some much-needed friendships. It features a story of loss, broken dreams, and regret, but also courage, friendship, and hope. You’ll play through Alfred’s current life, but you’ll also step back in time to relive moments you had with your sweetheart, Audrey.

Duelist: Idle Expedition is an idling auto-battler that sits at the bottom of your screen. You’ll recruit from a pool of 90+ JRPG roles and lead a traveling camp to victory against your foes. Choose between 7 main classes and 21 sub-classes, and grind for over 200 different pieces of equipment to arm yourself with. Eventually, you’ll be able to deploy 3 teams at once and watch them all fight while you rake in 3x EXP and resources.

Colorbound
Colorbound is a puzzle platformer where you play as Anku, an Aymara boy with a unique gift to harness the power of color. With it, you can shape the environment around you to open up paths, solve puzzles, and reach places no one else could. Scattered around the world are objects blocking your way in a single color. By picking up paint swatches around the environment, you can fill the background with that color to make the obstacle blend in with the background, making it essentially invisible and no longer an impediment to your journey.

Planet Zoo 2
Planet Zoo 2 is a city-building simulator where you can build distinctive zoos across the world. In this version, you’ll be able to build zoos for aquatic and flying species for the first time. Each animal species has their own needs and behaviors and will require their own specific habitats to keep them happy and thriving. Beyond your zoo, you’ll be able to help conservation efforts by taking on projects and meeting requirements to release your animals in the Wildlife Reserves.

Allogloom
Allogloom is a creepy-cute point-and-click adventure with mild horror themes where you play as Nora. You’ll explore Gruesome Grove to uncover secrets, solve puzzles, and save the people of your town. In your search, you’ll talk to a host of interesting characters, including monsters and animals. As you explore, you’ll find items to help you with the puzzles in front of you, but keep an open mind because some of the objects may not be useful until they’re combined.

Cozy Builder
Cozy Builder is a sandbox building game with farming and crafting elements. You’ll design a château from modular architectural pieces and be able to pick every detail, both inside and out. In between design phases, you’ll harvest grapes from your vineyard and create artisanal wine. By exploring the land, you can find resources to create rustic goods and enhance your wares.

Shipping Store Simulator 2037
Shipping Store Simulator 2037 is a management simulator where you run a shipping business with the help of hired robots. They’ll help with the grunt work by unloading boxes, stocking shelves, and serving customers. You just have to make sure the packages get there on time by drone or by car. As you acquire more income, you can upgrade your warehouse, automate routines, and expand your reach further into the city.

Dupery: A Game of Solo Deduction
Dupery: A Game of Solo Deduction is a roguelite set in a noir city run by a criminal syndicate. You’ll play as a detective with a mission to hunt down these criminals and uncover who the head of their operation is. There are four categories of roles: Innocent, Meddler, Underling, and Traitor. It’ll be your job to interrogate everyone, weed out the liars, and get to the bottom of things. The cases are procedurally generated, so you’ll likely never come across the same case twice, even if you replay it.

Odd Town
Odd Town is a first-person adventure about being stuck in a town that feels wrong. You don’t remember how your car came to need repairs, or much else, but you have a feeling you shouldn’t trust anyone. Every action has consequences and every decision matters. While you wait for your car to get fixed, you can do standard sidequest things, but then people start going missing, police get more suspicious… You’ll find that the only way to combat a conspiracy is to start one of your own.

Nomad Drive
Nomad Drive is an automobile sim with survival aspects where you drive an RV through a procedurally generated post-apocalyptic world. Along the way, you’ll need to repair your RV to keep moving by scavenging parts and making repairs. As you travel, you’ll find things to decorate your space with, grow plants, and make food. Play solo or with up to 4 players and see how far you can get before your RV breaks down for good.

We Were Here Tomorrow
We Were Here Tomorrow is a stand-alone co-op game for two players where you and your partner need to navigate a mysterious facility to connect the dots on what has been going on. Before waking up, you and your partner were trapped in ice while trying to find missing coworkers. When you wake, an unknown amount of time has passed, and you’ll need to unravel the secrets of what has been happening while continuing the work of your co-workers. To do so successfully, you’ll need to communicate and cooperate with your partner.

Fangtopia
Fangtopia is a tile-laying puzzle game where you’ll build out landscapes, make landmarks, and create a wonderland for friendly, magical creatures. There are three modes to pick from based on the type of gameplay you’re looking for. Fangtopia Mode allows you to jump right in and build worlds in short, restful sessions. Ghoulish Mode is more challenging and allows for bigger worlds with a wider spread of tile types. And Island Mode allows you to connect archipelagos with railway tracks that stretch across an ocean. It’s scare-free, has over 100 different tiles to use, and an interactive sticker book to fill up by achieving special goals.

PAO PAO
PAO PAO is a life sim where you can play solo or with up to 4 friends in a cozy seaside town. Build up the restaurant of your dreams and run it the way you want to by deciding what is on the menu and keeping your customers happy. When you’re not in the kitchen, you can explore the forest for ingredients, tend to a crop garden, or go fishing at the local lake. In your downtime, you can decorate your home, change up your avatar, and play mini-games around town.

Danchi Days
Danchi Days is a slice-of-life adventure where you play as a young girl who moves back to her hometown to be with her grandma after she’s been diagnosed with dementia. In an effort to cheer up your grandma, you decide to revive the local summer festival and go through the motions of organizing it and getting the neighborhood involved. Play mini-games, get to know the locals, and spend some time in a world based in early 2000s Japan.

Tom the Postgirl
Tom the Postgirl is a creepy-cute point-and-click game where you play as Tom, the local postgirl who does more than just deliver the daily mail. While you’re dropping off packages, you’ll linger to peek into windows, trespass into areas where you’re unwelcome, and uncover information about the locals that they didn’t invite you to learn. While your actions may not be innocent, the secrets you learn aren’t either. As Tom, you’ll feel free to stalk the villagers, open their packages, and even engage in some property damage.
