I don’t know if this week has felt especially long for anyone else, but I could use a good cozy game to settle down with this weekend. If you do too, then this list of newly released games should help you find something to play! And, the best part is that three of them are free to play!

Blank Canvas
Blank Canvas is a free-to-play exploration puzzle game where you play as a painter with a unique ability. You can dive into a blank canvas and unearth a world inside through brushstrokes. Each blank canvas has a key item waiting to be found inside it. There are multiple levels to dive into with environmental hints to guide you.
Drawn Together
Drawn Together is a free-to-play multiplayer game where you can doodle and play drawing games with up to 16 players. By creating a lobby with your friends, everyone’s whiteboards will be visible to everyone else. So, you can actively play with your friends or simply watch their drawings update in real time while you work on other things. If you like your drawing, you have the ability to save it to your gallery to show off.

Trading Card Inspector
Trading Card Inspector is a job simulator where you start your job as an official Habubis Trading Card Inspector. Habubis makes “The World’s Most Coolest TCG” and it’ll be up to you to inspect and appraise the cards that cross your desk. You’ll use guidelines, notes, and reference lists to compare cards against to see if they’re valid or invalid. Legit cards move on to the appraisal phase, whereas fakes get tossed in the shredder. By employing modifiers, the difficulty will slowly increase, but the reward for a successful grading goes up as well. Along the way, you’ll be able to unlock cards that will go into the Card Gallery, so you’ll have your own collection to admire.
Momento
Momento is a room decorating game where you’ll get to choose aspects of how to decorate your space. Some items that you choose from will hold more weight than others and may alter the path your life takes. By choosing what’s important to you, you’ll be taken down a branching path with multiple endings. Due to the nature of how choices shape the outcome, there’s a fair bit of replayability that invites you to come back and see how things can be changed by a simple design choice.
Your Own Cozy Motel
Your Own Cozy Motel is a motel management simulator where you’ll take on the responsibility of building up and running your own roadside motel. You’ll be responsible for everything from check-in to check-out. Keep the place clean, fix things that break, and buy upgrades along the way. Not only will you be able to upgrade your operation, but you can also buy upgrades for yourself to make things easier. When you need a break from the hustle and bustle, you can invest some time in a small side hustle where you grow plants for profit.

Professor Simulator: Desktop Lab
Professor Simulator: Desktop Lab is a semi-idle research game that sits at the bottom of your screen. You’ll start out by interviewing students to pick a research team and then manage their time around the lab. As you play, you’ll get promoted to a higher academic rank for more benefits. Manage project papers, upgrade lab equipment, and climb the academic ladder. There’s a ton to do and it won’t require you to be glued to the screen to see progress happening.

Solarpunk is an open-world survival craft game set in a world of floating islands with technological advancements. Play alone or with friends as you grow food, craft gadgets, explore on your airship, and construct buildings. Use the natural elements around you, like sunlight, wind, and water, to power and automate processes. With the multiplayer function, you can divide and conquer with your friends to build a thriving homestead.
Puni the Florist
Puni the Florist is a job simulator where you play as Puni, a girl starting a florist business that seems to come with its very own flower fairy. You’ll meet the townsfolk and help them with their specific requests by creating a bouquet they’re looking for. Not only will you get to choose the flowers and the way they’re presented, but you’ll be able to trim leaves and bend the stems to create a beautifully full arrangement. As you grow, you’ll unlock more flowers, decorate your shop, and perhaps learn a bit about the language of flowers.
Spirit Talk – Cozy Visual Novel
Spirit Talk – Cozy Visual Novel is a story about a witch named Julia who has the power to talk to spirits. You’ll run an agency where people will come to you hoping to speak with loved ones who have moved on from the mortal plane. You’ll use your skills to brew potions that will help summoned spirits communicate more fully and reconnect two souls for a moment in time. Not every client is looking to speak to the dead and you’ll get to enjoy the simplicity of fulfilling potions orders between major clients.
Gacha Capsule Shop Simulator – Akihabara
Gacha Capsule Shop Simulator – Akihabara is a shop management simulator where you run a gachpon store. Design and organize your shop, keep the machines stocked, and use earnings to upgrade and hire staff. While you’re at it, you can open capsules for yourself to complete your own collection. There are over 10,000 figure variations, so you’ve got your work cut out for you.
Duppy Detective Tashia
Duppy Detective Tashia is a point-and-click mystery adventure game based on Caribbean folklore. You play as Tashia, a girl trying to recover her stolen phone. The chase leads you to the otherworldly Halfway Market and a murder mystery. You’ll explore the market, find clues, and interrogate creatures of myth and legend to find the culprit.
Tellyport
Tellyport is a puzzle game where you play as Sally, the granddaughter of an inventor with a 70s-inspired lab filled with inventions. To navigate the lab, you’ll solve puzzles by stepping through portals inset inside of televisions. Each telly has different aspects that will affect you, like altering gravity or your size. Explore a fantastical world, overcome challenges, and enjoy a project built by students.

Tavern Talk Stories: Dreamwalker is a D&D-inspired visual novel that is an offshoot of the Tavern Talk universe. Despite the name, you won’t be managing anything beyond serving drinks to thirsty travelers. Set 36 years before the original game, you’ll take care of The Drowsy Dragon. Blessed with the gift of creating special drinks that alter the fate of the drinker, you’re not just mixing up a thirst-quencher, but you’re making choices that matter as well.
Ocean Cleaner Idle
Ocean Cleaner Idle is an incremental clicker game where you clean up the ocean. You play as an Atlantean with the sacred duty of cleaning up waste left behind by humans. By using your customized ship, you’ll sail the ocean’s surface to clean up the debris. As you play, you’ll recycle materials that you can use to make upgrades. Some of the upgrades will automate some processes, letting you idly clean up the space while tending to other things.
Cauldron Craft
Cauldron Craft is an exploration crafting game where you’ll explore peaceful lands in search of resources that can be used for crafting. With the aid of a magical tome, you’ll get answers and rewards in exchange for crafting. There are 6 explorable lands and over 200 items to discover.

Crushed in Time
Crushed in Time is a point-and-click puzzle adventure game where you go on an adventure with Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. You’ll embark on a weirdly elastic adventure that involves meta time travel that takes you through the design stages of the game. Find the way forward by grabbing and dragging things that shouldn’t normally have elasticity to them and see how they react. Enjoy dozens of puzzles and a fully voiced cast.
Detective INNA DUKE
Detective INNA DUKE is a noir story-driven visual novel that follows the case of a missing influencer who was stolen during a livestream. Join Detective Inna Duke and her partner Femal to investigate the disappearance of the famous hamster, Oleh Hamston. Gather evidence, follow leads, and overcome puzzles that stand in your way. Your choices will shape the ending you encounter.

Beastro
Beastro is a roguelite cooking game with deck-building elements. You play as Panko, a young chef in a peaceful village who helps to run an eatery. When your teacher goes missing, you’ll have to step up to tend to the farm and run the restaurant. Create dishes through a series of mini-games and work your way through a skill tree to get even better. Your dishes will fuel the adventurers who keep the place safe beyond the village walls and you’ll get to hear stories about their adventures when they come back. They might even bring you special ingredients!
Tales of Seikyu
Tales of Seikyu is a farming life sim that is set on the island of Seikyu. Grow your farm and restore your ancestral home as you get to know the locals, some of whom you may decide to pursue romantically. As a descendant of the Fox Clan, you have the ability to shapeshift. You’ll have the chance to change into several Yokai forms that will help you in various scenarios. There’s a ton to explore and do in Seikyu and it’s yours to make what you want of it.

FeeBay Simulator
FeeBay Simulator is a tycoon game where you enter the reselling game with only $500. Search online marketplaces for deals on cards that you can grade and flip for a profit. Just be sure not to be scammed in the process. Will you take a chance on mystery lots and cracking slabbed cards, or will you take the safer approach? An eye for detail is paramount and if you’re a collector yourself, there are a ton of cards for you to chase.
Jolly and Whimsy
Jolly and Whimsy is a short, free-to-play visual novel with a picture book style. You play as Jolly, a little witch who is best friends with Whimsy the cat. When Whimsy has to return to Cat Planet, Jolly will try anything to bring him back. It’s a story of loss, grief, and hope that may hit more emotionally for some. It’s done in a gorgeous watercolor style and has over 200 hand-drawn illustrations.
