It’s another Friday and that means you’ve got a bounty of cozy games released this past week to find something to cozy down with this weekend. I know I’m in need of a game that I can decompress with and there are quite a few gems on this list that have caught my eye. Hopefully, there’s something here for you as well!

Cozy games released on April 17th

Write Warz
Write Warz is a multiplayer storytelling party game. You and your friends will be tasked to write a sentence for a specific theme and then you’ll all vote for the best or funniest that fits the story. Bask in the glow of victory or seek revenge by using character abilities that cause disadvantages for other players. If you need a break from the story, you can cool off with a few mini-games until you’re ready to create the next best seller.
How Now Sea Cow?
How Now Sea Cow? is a short puzzle game about a girl and her manatee. You’ll guide your manatee through a series of channels and figure out puzzles to open up gates. In doing so, you’ll lead your friend to food waiting on the other side. It has simple mechanics and a charming aesthetic.

Typing Farmer
Typing Farmer is an idling desktop companion that puts a small keyboard at the corner of your screen, which slowly becomes a small farm as you type and click. You’ll earn coins to use to buy new plant types and decorations for your farm. If you want to play with others, you can play with up to 15 other players!

The Greenening
The Greenening is a short, incremental game about reawakening a forgotten world. Wash away ash, gather resources, and build up your very own little garden on a spaceship! There are both active and passive progressive mechanics and a ton of upgrades to unlock.


Fracture Field
Fracture Field is an idle incremental mining game. You’ll start humbly and grow your quarry into a thriving empire one layer of sediment at a time. The deeper you go, the harder it is to mine, but with a powerful upgrade system, you’ll have no problem unearthing treasure. Once you feel like you’ve gone as far as you can, fracture the world and start over with added power and permanent upgrades.
Tidehaven: Ale & Trade
Tidehaven: Ale & Trade is a management simulator with idle elements. Starting with your humble inn, you’ll grow a sprawling town around you that you get to design every step of the way. Your village will work for you while you’re tending to other things and over time, you’ll be able to invest in a talent tree that will make everything even more efficient. Play actively or passively, participate in side events and mini-games, or try your luck at gambling. There’s a lot to do here and it’s all at your own pace.


Dialoop -Roguelite Puzzle-
Dialoop -Roguelite Puzzle- is, surprise of all surprises, a roguelite puzzler. With match-3 and deckbuilding elements, you’ll slide the grid vertically and horizontally to make matches. As you grow, you can buy items from the shop to help you complete levels. Customize your character and go on a board-game style adventure to learn the legendary truth behind the puzzles!
Love Surge!
Love Surge! is a dating sim with visual novel and card game elements. You’ll be able to romance three different electronics: Celci (Thermostat), Noki (Cell Phone), and Lotte (Coffee Machine). You can explore the town to increase your stats and build up your deck, go on dates with the girls, and maybe fall in love. Each character has two different endings for you to experience.


WizardWare
WizardWare is a management simulation game where you play as an assistant to Webediah, the Wizard of Wares. He puts you in charge of keeping the computer operating system working and protected against viruses and pop-ups. Manage your downloads and keep everything running smoothly, or be cursed with the Purple Screen of Demise!
Do A Crime
Do A Crime is a cozy, chaotic platform puzzler where you play as a raccoon running around doing small time crimes. It’s your job to persuade the mayor to leave your parking lot home alone by going down a to-do list and ticking off goals. Trespass, find shinies, and be a general menace as you explore areas and solve puzzles.

Legendary Pilots is a stylized flight simulator that focuses on the pilot’s career. Fly turbo-props and regional jets while managing your routes and passengers. You’ll be in charge of maintaining your plane and crew while dealing with a competitive airline economy system. It’s created by someone with a passion for aviation and offers simplified navigation for everyone to enjoy.
Artifact – 3D Puzzle
Artifact – 3D Puzzle is a puzzle game where you’ll restore shattered masterpieces across the major ages of artistic influence. You’ll restore 64 art pieces from eight different cultures with intuitive assembly that you can rotate and manipulate. With different difficulty levels, you can choose your level of coziness while listening to an atmospheric soundtrack.


Alchemist’s Garden
Alchemist’s Garden is an incremental crafting game where you take over an abandoned potion shop and make it your own. You’ll forage for ingredients across different locations, use your grimoire to turn them into potions, and sell your stock to the locals. With income, you’ll be able to upgrade a skill tree or take advantage of a prestige system that resets your progress in exchange for permanent bonuses.

Your Meow-jesty! is a short exploration game where you play as a cat with big, mischievous dreams. Run around town, annoy townsfolk, chase yarn, pop balloons, and if you’re feeling worthy of the crown, claim it for your own. By rights as a cat, you have the freedom to do exactly as you want.
Magic Regrowth
Magic Regrowth is an incremental idling game where your sole focus is to help The Alpaca Prince restore the magic to floating islands by planting magical flora. The plants will grow over time; you just need to keep them watered and collect the mana that they produce. Mana serves as a representation of magic on the land; the more you have of it, the more plant types you’ll be able to grow.

Stray Cat Doors
Stray Cat Doors is a puzzle adventure game that originated as a mobile game and has made the move to Steam. You’ll explore six different levels, plus a bonus stage, solving puzzles. If you get stuck, you can take advantage of the hint system that will take you through the solution step-by-step. It features hand-drawn art and soothing music to evoke a cozy atmosphere.
Sophie’s Grids
Sophie’s Grids is a free-to-play strategy puzzle game where you align dice in a grid by turning rows and columns. There are several options for increased difficulty, a daily challenge to come back to every day, and the puzzles are randomly generated, so you have endless replayability. It has a practice mode and drill mode that will teach you algorithms you can use to help you solve the grids.


The Last Cat in the Universe
The Last Cat in the Universe is a mining clicker game where you play as an AI on a dying space station with one sole mission. It’s your entire goal to keep the last cat on your ship alive and happy. Recover resources, invest in upgrades, and find what’s most important: fragments of a lullaby that will make your cat feel truly safe.
Above the Snow
Above the Snow is a narrative tycoon game where you and a group of friends manage a mountain vacation business. It’s up to you to manage the expectations of guests and emergencies that might arise. When you’re not seeing to the day-to-day of the Alpine resort, you’re out in the wilderness mapping trails. There’s a lot to balance and manage, especially with a game that boasts 20 hours of gameplay.


Maids of Storm
Maids of Storm is a tycoon simulation game where you manage your own maid cafe. Serve your customers from a range of recipes and enjoy boosted efficiency by using Leader Skills and maid training. When you’re not taking care of customers, you can put your cafe to the test against others in the Maid Championship to prove your supremacy!
Tiny Glass Tank: Dwarf Shrimp and Friends
Tiny Glass Tank: Dwarf Shrimp and Friends is an aquarium simulator where you’ll catch shrimp and various freshwater creatures and bring them home to your very own aquarium. Keep them, raise them, or sell them. You’ll have the freedom to decorate their tanks the way you like and will need to take care of their needs to help them thrive. There are over 50 critter variants across 4 archetypes to collect.

Snap & Grab
Snap & Grab is a heist puzzle game set in the 1980s. You’ll play as a photographer named Nifty Nevada. You’ll use your skills and status to check out locations, take pictures of the details, and take everything back to your base of operations. Using what you’ve learned, you’ll lay out a plan for your crew to follow that will either secure the goods or flop. Either way, your alibi is clean… well, unless Detective Rio Rivers doesn’t get in your way.
Capyvarias
Capyvarias is a colony sim clicker where you rebuild a capybara empire after everything is gone. Starting with two, Capyshan and Capymay, you’ll raise your colony by gathering resources, assigning tasks, expanding shelter, and unlocking new technologies that will offer upgrade options. Collect achievements to earn Capycoins and use those coins to buy clothes for your capybaras!


Flock Around
Flock Around is a multiplayer bird-watching game that you can play with up to 10 friends. You’ll explore a nature sanctuary solo or with others and snap pictures of birds to fill out your park guidebook. Find birds of all varieties and catch them in different poses. If you keep a keen eye, you might even find some rare “shiny” birds. As you take pictures, you’ll earn stars that can be used to open up more of the park. Along the way, you’ll be able to buy cosmetics to set you apart from the others!
holoVillage: Our Cozy Days
holoVillage: Our Cozy Days is a life simulator where you can play with the chibi version of VTuber talent from hololive Production. You’ll start a small village, where you can build up a farm and homes, then invite VTubers to come and live. You’ll be able to get their help around the farm, dress them up, and become friends. When you’re not hanging out in town, you can head out on an adventure to explore dungeons


Gym Empire – Idle Gym Tycoon Management
Gym Empire – Idle Gym Tycoon Management is a gym tycoon game with incremental and idling elements. You’ll build up and manage your own gym and make it the best in the world by training clients and hiring staff. Decide whether you want to go commercial or if you want to specialize in what your gym has to offer, all while making deals with sponsors and keeping yourself out of legal trouble.
Whispers of the Hourglass
Whispers of the Hourglass is a puzzle adventure game where you find yourself in an interesting situation as a newly turned ghost. You’ll explore an empty city filled with puzzles and mystery with the ability to jump between two timelines. Explore the modern world around you, or step back in time to when this same city used to be occupied by pirates. It’s up to you to unravel a time warping curse and figure out the reason behind a centuries-old rivalry.
