This last week, there were a ton of new cozy games that had me making grabby hands at them, resulting in my stuffing wishlist beyond capacity. I’m fairly certain that if I put anything else into it, it will pop. Plus, my bank account has preemptively put me in time-out.
Like always, this is my biased scope on what cozy is to me and it may not fit every cozy aesthetic. So, if there’s nothing here for you, then I understand. Pop on down to the end to find the links for other articles that might have what you’re looking for.
We do our best not to highlight games that use Generative AI at any level of development or marketing. At the time of posting, these games have not reported or disclosed using Gen AI. Likewise, all articles are written and edited by humans… as evidenced by our occasional errors.
Faves from the Week: December 1st-5th

Pocket Gecko
Pocket Gecko is a creature-collecting idler that sits on your desktop screen. Your little gecko is customizable and has four islands to unlock. Collect over 80 different bugs to sell or keep for special bonuses. I’m such a sucker for silly little guys and bug collectors, so I’m coveting hard.
Idlequarium
Idlequarium is a simulation game where you can keep a fully customizable aquarium on your desktop screen. Open up fish packs to discover over a hundred different freshwater and saltwater fish. Watch them grow and sell them for a profit. Complete management tasks for added perks and make your life easy by automating feeding!

Meduziak
Meduziak is an underwater point-and-click adventure with puzzle elements. You played as a blue jellyfish embarking on a journey to pick up your kid from kindergarten. Who knew such a simple task would be so arduous? Everything that can go wrong will go wrong. Be assured you won’t soft-lock yourself and with a picture system for communication, it’s perfect for kids and all language speakers.
Log Away
Log Away is a cozy little cabin builder where you can pick from various scenic locations and build the cabin of your dreams from the ground up. You’ll have various decorating options available to you and the opportunity to choose from a list of hobbies that interest you. By choosing your interests, you’ll shape the sort of keepsakes you can discover and what sort of memories may be attached to them. If you love the build part of the Sims, you’ll love Log Away.

Flotsam
Flotsam is a city-builder that has moved out of early access and into full release mode with a ‘very positive’ review score. You’ll take on the role of a captain who strings together a floating island one section at a time through scavenging materials. With your found resources, you’ll build a thriving city at sea.
MineMogul
MineMogul is a physics-based automation sandbox about mining. You’ll design a factory underground of sprawling conveyors that will carry your newly obtained resources to you. Upgrade your machines and let your creativity fly as you become a one-man mining operation.

The Case of the Worst Day Ever
The Case of the Worst Day Ever is a mystery puzzle game where you’ll figure out across 10 different cases why one singular day was the worst for multiple people. You’ll survey the scene, find useful words, and then use those words in order to fill in blanks that detail what happened.
The You Quiz
The You Quiz is a party game where all the questions are about you or the current king! Friends will answer questions about you and you get to give it a pass or fail. Every right answer advances them up the stairs until you’re dethroned. At that point, you answer questions about them! With a “friend pass”, you can invite up to 7 players to play with you for FREE!

Pawn Planet
Pawn Planet is a job simulator where you get put in charge of running a pawn shop. Set out in space, you’ll come across items that are out of this world. Barter for these strange items, sell them at a higher profit, and visit auctions to score a deal. Don’t turn something down just because it’s broken; you can order new parts to make it like new! Hustle your way into cosmic wealth!
