May the 4th is Star Wars Day and there aren’t that many Star Wars games that can be considered cozy. So, here’s a list of cozy space games that’ll get you in the spirit while keeping you in a happy and relaxed state!
This list deals with space or alien-based games and truly spans a wide net of genres. I find it hard to believe that there won’t be at least one game that calls to everyone.

Cozy space games to play on Star Wars Day, May the Fourth!
Slime Rancher
Slime Rancher is an open-world sandbox game where you play as Beatrix LeBeau, a young rancher from Earth who is on a planet 1,000 light-years from home, trying to amass a great fortune in slime ranching. Collect colorful slimes, grow crops, harvest resources, and explore the wilds. With income, you’ll be able to upgrade your vacpack, expand your ranch, and build more corrals to keep even more slimes in.
My Little Universe
My Little Universe is an exploration dungeon crawler that you can play solo or with up to three other friends in split-screen co-op. You’ll travel across 9 worlds, conquering over 65 different dungeons. As you explore, you’ll be able to farm resources to upgrade your weapons. The lands are populated by monsters, so combat will be required, but they generally stay in their own area. I’ve played the game and I actually had a lot of fun with it.
Farlands
Farlands is a farming sim where you’ve bought your very own planet and it comes at an unbeatable bargain! There may be a reason for that, but for now, you’re focused on turning your little home planet into a thriving homestead! While your main focus is your new homeland, you can still explore neighboring planets to pick up some resources and meet some out-of-this-world characters!
Looking for Aliens
Looking for Aliens is a hidden object game where you’re watching from the unique view of an alien TV show. You’ll search for items across 25 different locations, both on Earth and in outer space. Follow the protagonist of the show, Shaun, as he tries to prove the existence of aliens! Enjoy a highly interactive environment and a helpful text-based hint system when you get stuck.
Little-Known Galaxy
Little-Known Galaxy is a space-based farming sim where you join the Space Alliance as the new captain-in-training! Congratulations! With your crew, you’ll learn the mysteries of an ancient relic, explore new planets, craft items, and farm crops. Get to know the people, build romance, fill up your museum, and so much more!
Caravan SandWitch
Caravan SandWitch is an exploration adventure game where you are on a quest to figure out what happened to your sister. You’ll explore your hometown planet that has been mostly abandoned for clues. This game is filled to the brim with things to do. There are dozens of quests, lots of different types of buildings to explore, and a really fun van to drive all over. If you’re looking for a game that you can sink hours upon hours into, this is it. I so enjoyed getting to explore the abandoned areas and salvage everything I found.
Universe for Sale
Universe for Sale takes you on an adventure as someone known as the ‘Master’. Who you are is a mystery that we unravel as we talk to people around town and help. Every so often, we’ll get to slide into the shoes of ‘Lila’, a girl who runs a stall where she can create universes for sale. Her goal is to get enough money to buy a ticket to Mars. Their stories don’t seem to overlap at first, but as you play both characters, you’ll learn more about each other and unravel a key component that connects them. I had a lot of fun playing through this story and even made a guide for a hard-to-get achievement!
Galaxy Burger
Galaxy Burger is a stress-free cooking game where you run a burger joint out in space! Play solo, or with up to 7 friends, as you build up your diner with no time limits. You’re free to take your time and enjoy the process of filling orders from aliens and mecha-cats alike. As you grow, you’ll learn more recipes and be able to upgrade your process.
Pawn Planet
Pawn Planet is a job simulator where you get put in charge of running a pawn shop. Set out in space, you’ll come across items that are out of this world. Barter for these strange items, sell them at a higher profit, and visit auctions to score a deal. Don’t turn something down just because it’s broken; you can order new parts to make it like new! Hustle your way into cosmic wealth!
Roadside Research
Roadside Research is an immersive sim that can be played 1 to 4 player co-op. You’ll play as an alien trying to blend in as a human. Run a gas station and do very human things like stocking shelves, keeping the store clean, and cooking. Kit out the station with alien upgrades and above all else, don’t get caught!
Cozy Space Survivors
Cozy Space Survivors is the game that put Bullet Heavens on the map for me. This game was a lot of fun and is a perfect intro to the genre. Your map stays the same, but the experience is different depending on the ship you choose to play with. Each ship has its own specs and as you fly through space, you can find upgrades and take part in small quests.
Loddlenaut
Loddlenuat puts you in the shoes of a cleanup specialist who is helping to clean up after your company has left an underwater planet. It’ll be up to you to clean up all the waste and sludge behind. Explore an open world, unlock special gadgets to help you clean, and meet adorable little creatures known as loddles.

LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga
LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga is an open-world adventure game that takes you through the 9 Star Wars movies. It features 23 planets to explore, 100 different vehicles to commandeer, and over 300 characters to play as! Play solo or split-screen co-op and explore the universe. Once you’ve finished the main story for each movie, you’ll be able to experience free play mode with the planets that opened up. This allows you to hunt to your heart’s content for the vast amounts of collectibles and secrets hidden on each planet.
