Dear Diary, it’s day 2 of rewiring my brain to say 2026 instead of 2025. Efforts have been challenging, but the cozy games list must persist!
Look at this, guys! There are EIGHT games out today! EIGHT! Nature feels like it’s starting to heal. I couldn’t be more stoked to direct your attention to these various games.
We do our best not to highlight games that use Generative AI at any level of development or marketing. At the time of posting, these games have not reported or disclosed using Gen AI. Likewise, all articles are written and edited by humans… as evidenced by our occasional errors.
Cozy Games Today: January 2nd, 2026

The Power of Fish
The Power of Fish is a fishing game with puzzle and creature-collector elements. You’ll head out to the pond and catch some fish, but what do you do once you’ve caught them? Interrogate them, of course! Question the fish, see if there is more to them, and ascend them, just be careful not to advance any evil fish!
Hungry
Hungry is an action arcade game where you play as a ball of energy roaming around a playing field of other balls. Your mission is simple: eat them! Eat orbs to grow and get large enough to devour your enemies. It plays a lot like Hole.io-type games, so it should be a familiar setup.

No Rest for Lex
No Rest for Lex is a point-and-click adventure that is giving me a heavy ’90s vibe for this type of game. I’m talking, old school Monkey Island. Play between Lex and Gina as you navigate being a victim of playing a protagonist. The show must go on and despite Lex finding his place in life, he has to take up arms for his last adventure. This is technically a sequel series, but it gets put here because it looks AMAZING and what could be better than one game, but three!
But, wait! THERE’S MORE?! Heck yeah, we’re so back!
- Battington Manor – VR, Adventure, Walking Sim, Arcade
- Conquest – Strategy RPG, Adventure, Dungeon Crawler
- Snekoban – Sakoban, Puzzle, Strategy
- Journey Express – Inventory Management, Action-Adventure
- Gravity Station – Adventure, Puzzle, 3D Platformer
What is calling out to you on this list? I’m deeply amused by interrogating fish and deciding if a fish is evil or not in The Power of Fish. But, I’m HYPED for No Rest for Lex. I know, I know, it’s the third (and final) game in a series, but hey! MORE GAMES! It’s so quintessentially ’90s point-and-click vibes that I don’t even really care what the subject matter is. I should, but I don’t. Just feed it to me directly. Nom nom nom.
