Cozy Games Today: 26 Indie games released this past week on Steam - March 25th-27th

Happy Friday, everyone! Things are changing up a bit around here and we’re going to see how doing a larger round-up of the cozy games that release over the week goes. There are several reasons for that, but the biggest one is that some days just don’t have enough releases to create an article for.

Now, I can give each day the attention it deserves, whether that day has over 10 cozy games or just two.

We do our best not to highlight games that use Generative AI at any level of development or marketing. At the time of posting, these games have not reported or disclosed using Gen AI. Likewise, all articles are written and edited by humans… as evidenced by our occasional errors.

Come Again, Chachii?

Come Again, Chachii? is a word game where you help unemployed extraterrestrials ace their job interviews. The only problem is that they don’t make sense. It’ll be up to you to unscramble the letters of their phrases into something that can be understood.

Nova Roma is a strategy-based city builder where you’ll build up Rome to appease Gods and bring a thriving nation to the people inhabiting it. You’ll have to balance the needs of the land with the needs of the people. Enact laws, develop supply chains, and build up a thriving civilization.

Neopets – Mega Mini Games Collection – The Neopian Arcade Odyssey invites you to return to your childhood. This game is filled with 26 minigames that you know and love from the Neopets website. Experience the nostalgia with better FPS gameplay, widescreen displays, and the option of playing with a controller.

Idle Gumball Machine

Idle Gumball Machine is a Plinko-style incremental game. You’ll shoot gumballs at gears in order to earn money and gum. The money is used to upgrade the mechanics of the machine, while gum can be used on permanent upgrades. I’ve actually played the demo for this game and found it to be a lot of fun!

Reclaim! Azhe-giiwewining

Reclaim! Azhe-giiwewining is a point-and-click adventure game where you play as Miskwaa, an Ojibwe girl from the city. When she gets lost in a forest, she’ll need to brush up on her Ojibwemowin. The woods are filled with intricate puzzles and the game is built to expose you to the Ojibwe culture, language, and tradition.

SokoGhost: Unfinished Business is a Sokoban puzzle game where you play as Greg, a guy who has unfinished business and his job quota to fill in the afterlife.
Whoowasit? is modeled after the board game of the same name. You’ll need to find a thief by talking to animals and finding clues.
My Idle Witch is an idling desktop companion where you help her brew and sell potions, complete tasks, and decorate her space.
Chico’s Rebound is a brick-breaker game where you play as a little chipmunk exploring a mysterious tower by breaking blocks, grabbing power-ups, and solving puzzles.
NUTMEG! A Nostalgic Deckbuilding Football Manager is set in the ’80s and ’90s, where you play as a gaffer. Pick your line-up, formations, clubs, and more to create a winning team.
The Bus is a city bus simulation game where you drive 1:1 scale bus routes in Berlin. Sell tickets, handle traffic, and get everyone to their destination safely.
Karigurashi Ren’ai: Living on Borrowed Love is a visual novel adventure game where you play as Takuma, returning to your childhood home with nowhere to stay, so you alternate staying with your childhood friends.
Sweep Bump is a cleaning game where you play as a cleaning robot on a mission to clean up the streets. Avoid vehicles and collect trash!
Fairy Circle is a bag-building roguelike game. You play as a Forest Keeper and it’s up to you to protect your home from something called the gloom by igniting altars with the strategic placement of mushrooms.
Cat at Home is a puzzle adventure game where you help other animals with problems while working to figure out the mysterious disappearance of the homeowner.
Looking Up is a puzzle game where you solve puzzles, uncover Emilia’s memories, and interact with meaningful objects.

Scrap Diver is an incremental clicker game that takes place underwater. It’s your job to clean up scrap metal and debris to sell for profit. Use earnings for upgrades and helper drones without the worry of any danger.
The Vampire’s Bride: A bride who gets married to vampdoll is a visual novel that blends the idea of vampires with a military setting. It’s a Yuri game with suggestive themes.
