We did it, lads! We got through the hellish year of 2025. While I’m glad to put the year in my rearview mirror, there were still several highlights from the month that it’d be a shame not to give one more hurrah to.

We managed to eke out three game reviews, but highlighted over 200 new games with massive cozy game potential released over the course of the month. And that’s with the holiday season putting a real damper on the release of new games!

We’re stoked for the new year and can’t wait to spotlight thousands more indie games in 2026!

The Case of the Worst Day Ever

The Case of the Worst Day Ever

Quick Verdict: The Case of the Worst Day Ever is a straightforward gameplay style where you survey scenes, gather words, and use those words to fill in blanks about the day. It has a great artstyle and no softlocking issues, but it can be a bit challenging to process the correct information the first time.

Cozyrama

Quick Verdict: Cozyrama joins the ranks of diorama building and comes with a ton of items to play with. The only real drawback is that there is no tutorial and I had no clue there were features with the right mouse button when all of them show up with the left. Plus, I lost more than half of my progress after saving.

This Ain't Even Poker, Ya Joker - cozy game

This Ain’t Even Poker, Ya Joker

Quick Verdict: This Ain’t Even Poker, Ya Joker really rides that balance of making you feel productive, while not handing everything to you all at once. It’s the type of game you can actively work on or leave for a few hours for a boon. With a prestige-type system, you don’t really hit a wall and continue to feel like a non-poker-playing badass.
