Super Farming Boy puts a twist on the farming genre by bringing chain reactions and combos into the mix. It’s a farming sim with a heavy reliance on action and puzzles. You play as Super, a kid whose family and friends have been captured by an evil corporation.
With your loved ones on the line, your only choice is to harvest the land in order to save up enough to afford rescuing them!
In Super Farming Boy, you won’t have to worry about juggling several different tools because you are the tool! You can transform into a shovel, hammer, pickaxe, watering can, and more. Oh, and no big deal, but you can fly! And, the best part is that you can activate this all with a simple push or tap of a button. You’ll even be able to upgrade these tools for even better functionality.
It’s not just your tools that are easier to handle, though! There is zero inventory management in Super Farming Boy. Since your harvest and seeds are creatures, they’ll follow you around so that you don’t have to worry about keeping track of them.
Growing your plants is only the first step; by growing magical seed creatures, you’ll trigger a specific chain-reaction effect through harvesting that will help optimize your farm. They also serve as a defense against creatures, optimize your daily stamina usage, and help around the farm through various tasks like chopping trees, removing weeds, and much more!
Even the weather resists falling into the standard farming sim tropes! You’ll experience the odd changing of seasons from the standard Spring to the outlandish Winteria, Radioactive, Timewarp, Volcanic, and even a season set underwater. (Timewarp and Underwater seasons are coming later.)
Due to the nature of creating combos and chain reactions, you’ll want to put some serious thought into the layout of your garden so that you can reap the best rewards when you harvest.

Don’t worry, though, you won’t have to tend to the farm by yourself. Your pets were stolen along with everyone else, so buying them back will help your farm! Each pet is an idle helper with a unique mechanic. By having them around, your farm will be one step closer to automation.
If customization is a concern, you can rest assured that you’ll get a chance to spark your creativity. Your home, known as the BlobHouse, is open for decorating! There are a few different furniture types you’ll be able to place down for a unique home that shows your own personal style.
Gameplay is promised to have been at the forefront of design when it comes to controls. No matter what you prefer to play on, you’ll be supported! You have the option to play with various controllers (Xbox, Bluetooth, PlayStation), keyboard, and even a touchscreen!
Since Super Farming Boy is releasing into Early Access, the game will be going through a transition period where bug fixes and new features can be implemented. I mentioned above that two of the seasons won’t be out just yet, but there are a few more features you can look forward to.
There’s something called mushroom boosters that will provide instant effects like changing the weather or making it daylight during the night. There are several mysterious effects that will help your farm and keep gameplay fresh. And, the other thing is boss fights. Yep, that’s right, your farm will have to endure boss fights in the future by using your combo and chain reaction powers.
Super Farming Boy was made by a dev team based in Argentina and will be released into Early Access on Steam on August 12th, 2025, and will be $12.99 normally. For the first two weeks, you can take advantage of a 10% off sale.
