My favorite games in the Steam Spring Sale!

Smushi Come Home - Cozy Games on Sale - Steam Summer Sale

Smushi Come Home is an open-world adventure game where you play as a little mushroom lost in the woods, trying to find your way home. I can’t recommend this game enough; it’s one that I think of fondly and wish I could play for the first time again. I really enjoyed the freedom to explore and decompress in a whimsical little world. Plus, you get to collect different mushroom hats! Right now, it has a 50% off sale, making it $9.99.
My Review

Botany Manor is an exploration puzzle game where you roam the manor and gardens, solving flora-based puzzles. There is an unhurried whimsy to this game. There’s something about the pacing and artstyle that just invites you in and makes you feel cozy. The challenge of overcoming the puzzles hits a sweet spot that I find rare. They’re challenging enough to feel accomplished, but not so esoteric that you’re bumbling without a direction. Right now, it has a 35% off sale, making it $16.24.

Cozy Games

Wylde Flowers

Wylde Flowers is a farming sim where you play as Tara, a girl taking over her grandmother’s farm. You’ll do all the standard things like taking care of animals, fishing, mining, etc, but there’s more to this place and Tara than meets the eye. This game stole my life while I was playing it. I started every single morning putting in an hour or two, even when I didn’t actually have the time to do that. I loved every second of it and I think it brought something new and fresh to the farming genre. Right now, it has a 30% off sale, making it $17.49

Alba: A Wildlife Adventure is an exploration game where you play as Alba, a little girl visiting her grandparents’ on a Mediterranean island. You’ll wander around taking pictures of wildlife, cleaning up messes, helping animals, and maybe even thwarting a corporate takeover! This game is the definition of freedom for me. I could run in any direction and have something to do. It was so relaxing to just sink into the game with no timers or challenges. Right now, it has an incredible 85% off sale, making it $2.54.

Caravan SandWitch - gift - Exploration Games

Caravan SandWitch is an exploration adventure game where you are on a quest to figure out what happened to your sister. You’ll explore your hometown planet that has been mostly abandoned for clues. This game is filled to the brim with things to do. There are dozens of quests, lots of different types of buildings to explore, and a really fun van to drive all over. If you’re looking for a game that you can sink hours upon hours into, this is it. I so enjoyed getting to explore the abandoned areas and salvage everything I found. Right now, it has a 50%, making it $12.49.
My Review

Little Kitty, Big City is an exploration adventure game where you take on the role of a cat who has fallen from the window of your home and must find your way back up. The city is full of quests for you to complete and silly hats for you to find. I so enjoyed this game. I love quests, so getting to run around the city completing things was a joy. And, it’s even better than when I played because you can customize your cat character! I’m going to have to replay it to make my own kitty. Right now, it has a 40% off sale, making it $14.99.

Little Kitty, Big City - Cozy Game

Prim

PRIM is a point-and-click adventure where you play as the daughter of the Grim Reaper. After the death of your mother, you’re taken to the underworld to live with your dad. You’ll explore the realm of the dead, trying to find a way back to the surface. This game is an example of a really well-done point-and-click adventure. It had clear puzzles that didn’t rely on gimmicks that only the developer understood and I really enjoyed the black and white artstyle. Right now, it has a 20% sale, making it $15.99.
My Review

Mika and The Witch’s Mountain is a fantasy adventure game where you play as Mika, an aspiring witch trying to prove herself. You’ll soar through the skies, delivering packages around a small island. I had a lot of fun zooming all over the island. There’s a good balance of delivering packages and getting to go off on side quests. It felt like there was always something I could be working on. Right now, it has a 50% off sale, making it $9.99.

Mail Time

Mail Time is a platforming game where you are a newly trained Mail Scout on your first mission to deliver mail across a valley of inhabitants. This game is filled to the brim with whimsy. The artstyle is easily one of the more cozy that I’ve been able to play in and while it’s a platformer, I found it to be fairly easy to navigate around, so you don’t have to worry about getting stuck or frustrated. Right now, it has a 65% off sale, making it $6.99.
My Review

Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island puts you in the shoes of Alex, a woman shipwrecked on a mythical island filled with Greek Gods. The only problem is that their memories are blocked, so you’ll need to complete quests in order to help them remember. As someone who LOVES quests, this game was so fun for me to sink into. I enjoyed that there were clear goals and loved the art style and design. The characters were familiar while feeling new. If you love quest-heavy games, you need this one! Right now, it has a 40$ off sale, making it $14.99.

Here Comes Niko! - steam spring sale

Here Comes Niko! Is an exploration 3D platformer where you play as Niko, someone who is a new hire of Tadpole Incorporated as a “professional friend”. You’ll go to several different islands, meeting new people and helping them with tasks. Oh, and your boss is a frog, of course! This game gave me a new appreciation for 3D platformers. I’m notoriously bad at them, but this game took a gentle approach and while I didn’t always make the jump, I never got frustrated. Right now, it’s 50% off, making it $12.49.
