Pokémon GO has been giving a lot away with the recent major update last month, not even getting into the level cap increase and restructuring of the entire XP system. But, for the rest of November 2025, you can grab a “Free Box” in the shop that’ll give you a ton of extra item storage.
This comes on the heels of Pokémon GO also announcing an expansion of both the Pokémon and Item storage limits. Pokémon storage is going up by 650, maxing out at 11,150. Item storage went up by 1,000, with a limit of 10,500. So, a little boost is always welcome!
How to get the “Free Box” with Item Storage upgrades from the Pokémon GO shop
- Log in to Pokémon GO and head to the Shop in your Pokéball menu.
- Scroll down to the upgrades section (the second section, just above the Stickers).
- Tap on Free Box, which is marked as FREE.
- Tap on “Exchange”.
- You earned four Item Bags, worth 800 Pokecoins, which give you 50 additional storage a piece.
- You now have 200 additional storage for items. The Items Bags are applied immediately.
- Do this before November 30th, 2025, at 11:59 PM, local time. New days in Pokémon GO start at Midnight for everyone.
