I’m not sure how I missed three months of posting a cozy game roundup, but I did. So, things are a little different this time around. Instead of having all of the reviews in my usual formatting, you’re seeing most of them as a list. If a game has a picture attached, it means that it got a 9 or a perfect 10 from us.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that each month had bangers, but May really stepped up the quality. Honestly, 5 out of 15 games rated highly may only be 33%, but I’ll take it.

Finnish Cottage 8 is a fun anomaly-seeking horror game. I think it straddles the horror elements well, it’s not too scary or too dull. It’s the Goldilocks of horror. While it’s a shorter game, it’s still a lot of fun.

While there are a few qualms with Promise Mascot Agency, the overall game is a triumph. This may be my favorite game this year. The graphics, the story, and the music are perfect and the ability to run around freely was a joy. I just wish there were indicators for everything on the map and that the truck flew better once that upgrade is unlocked.

Bugtopia is an absolute steal. There are literal weeks of gameplay value here for only $6. It’s not just idling either, there is a lot of active playing here, as well as customization of your tanks. Seriously, I can’t recommend Bugtopia enough.
Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping brings us more of the same from the first game, where you put words into blank sentences to figure out the mystery. Honestly? I don’t have any complaints. I loved the first game and I was happy to play more of the same formula. The fact that this game is nearly twice as long is an added bonus. |

Flibbius McDoogle and the Mysterious Flying Machine is an adorable little game with puzzles that offer a little challenge without being illogical. I wish the controls worked a little differently, but they didn’t impede gameplay ability. Other than a superficial dialogue hiccup surrounding berries when berries weren’t used, I had no problems.
