If you’re in the market for cozy games, then I’ve got a feast for you to snack on! There are 36 cozy games that have been released by indie devs on Steam this week and they’re all listed neatly below in order of their release dates.

Cozy games released on April 6th

Belle Citique
Belle Citique is a city builder where you build up a village to your own design. As you build, you’ll attract wildlife and villagers to your settlement. While you have freedom of creativity, there are objectives to fulfill in order to open up more biomes and maps. Plus, your villagers may have a few ideas of their own they want you to implement.
Idle Muscle Up
Idle Muscle Up is an idling game where your goal is to lift the heaviest weights in the universe! But, in order to do that, you’ll need to train and face off against rivals to test your muscles. There are arcade-style elements here in the form of boxing and racing mini-games.


Eco City Planner
Eco City Planner is a card-based city-building strategy game. Your focus will be on urban planning, resource management, and sustainability. Use building and action cards to create strategic combos and enjoy a game that happens at 20-30 minutes per run.
Hidden around the World
Hidden around the World is a hidden object adventure game where you’ll visit several different places like Tokyo, Paris, and more. Find objects, complete missions, and decorate cozy spots to take pictures at. Beyond the base game, you have the ability to play user-created levels and can create your own levels to share.


EvoCreo 2
EvoCreo 2 is a creature-collecting RPG where you can capture over 300 unique monsters and complete over 50 quests. Play as a cadet journeying across the world of Shoru to investigate why Creo are vanishing and try to catch the culprits before it’s too late.
Around the Block
Around the Block is a city-builder where you collect points by strategically placing buildings on a block grid. Each building has its own area of effect and can either boost or negatively affect the scores of surrounding buildings. Try for the highest score possible to ensure a massive payday that can be used to continue building.


Hearth Bound
Hearth Bound is a home-building game that you can play multiplayer with friends. You’ll go room by room, building and decorating rooms that you have exceptional creative control over. Use placement tools, utilize over 1,000 props, and build up a collaborative space all your own.
Banana Chaos Clicker
Banana Chaos Clicker is an idle simulator with resource management, crafting, and creature evolution. Start with a banana and work your way into being an economic powerhouse. Recruit companions, buy upgrades, and dive into Archaeology and Astrology to find lost artifacts and celestial bonuses.

KuloNiku: Bowl Up!
KuloNiku: Bowl Up! is a management cooking game where you prepare unique meals for your locals. You’ll be able to upgrade your gear, customize your shop, and prove your merit in Chef battles to become the top chef. Along the way, you can make friends and learn more about your past.
Nippets
Nippets is a hidden object game where you’ll find a specified collection of items hidden amongst everyday life. Not everything is out in the open; you will have to interact with your surroundings in order to find everything. Solve puzzles to unlock new areas and find all the objects!


Origament: A Paper Adventure
Origament: A Paper Adventure is a platforming adventure game where you play as a living letter who can turn yourself into various shapes to get around. Fly, sail, and roll your way through solving puzzles in order to deliver yourself to your intended recipient.
People of Note
People of Note is a turn-based RPG musical where you play as Cadence. You’ll recruit an ensemble and battle your way to stardom. Explore the world of Note, dive into dungeons with enemies and puzzles, and use tempo-based rhythm combat to prove you’re the best around.


Evitania Online
Evitania Online is an online idle RPG boasting an open world without the grind of classic MMORPGs. Fight monsters and collect rare loot, even when you’re not online! Choose from different classes, level up your talent tree, and create alternate characters that you can send to mine or chop wood.
Black Hole Fishing
Black Hole Fishing is an incremental game where you catch fish by using a black hole. Gather fish, automate restocking, and perform ethically grey “fish science”. Start small and work your way up by breeding and perfecting fish and then fire them out of a cannon to trigger bonus effects. It’s all above board here… probably.


Quack & Hatch
Quack & Hatch is an incremental game about raising a duck farm. The game sits at the bottom of your screen and is simple to play. Beginning with common ducks, you’ll feed and breed them to unlock rarer varieties. By leveling up your ducks, they’ll become better farmers, which in turn means more food for the cycle.
Pupple Pop
Pupple Pop is an incremental game where your whole goal is popping bubbles to earn money. As you earn, you’ll be able to unlock upgrades and hire fish to automate the process. Keep an eye out for special bubbles and invest in the skill tree to make things easier.

Mostly Trash, Sometimes Treasure is an exploration game where you have volunteered to clean up a beach. Recycle waste, upgrade your tools, and find unexpected treasure along the way. There are no timers and no pressure, so you can explore at your own pace.
The House of Hikmah
The House of Hikmah is a narrative-driven 3D adventure game that is fully voice-acted. You play as Maya, a young girl navigating a family legacy after the death of her father. The path will take her on a fantastical journey through a dreamlike sanctuary. Solve puzzles, explore her grief, and encounter historical scholars of the Islamic Golden Age.


I Eat Paintings When Guards Aren’t Looking
I Eat Paintings When Guards Aren’t Looking is a hidden object game that takes place amongst famous paintings. Armed with a grocery list of things you wish to devour, you’ll explore masterpieces to pick out the requested objects and have a little snack on them.
Little Things
Little Things is originally a mobile game that has now been adapted into a 4k remaster for Steam. It’s a hidden object game where you’ll find a myriad of items hidden amongst a collage of small objects that create a bigger picture. It has a hint system and while it does track the time you spend, you’re not penalized for taking your time.


Find Your Words
Find Your Words is an adventure game that takes place at Summer camp. You’re invited to play at your own pace as you explore multiple locations and meet other campers. As you play, you’ll be able to collect symbols that you can use to communicate with others. This game has a deeper meaning to it and is created to simulate Augmentative and Alternative Communication to shine a light on other ways to communicate with others beyond speech.
Duck Duck Hotel
Duck Duck Hotel is a 3D management game where you play as a duck building up and operating a treetop hotel for several different types of birds. Expand your tree, cater to the unique needs of different birds, and keep your guests happy.


Post Apocalypse Microbe Lab
Post Apocalypse Microbe Lab is an idle life sim that sits at the corner of your screen. Watch an android girl named Lyse go through the motions of her research in a post-apocalyptic world. You’ll help her collect microbe samples and salvage junk that you can sell for coins in order to buy upgrades.

Messy Recipe: A Hidden Object Game
Messy Recipe: A Hidden Object Game is a hidden object game centered around cooking. A pesky, but friendly ghost hides your ingredients every day and you have to search them out. Once you find them, you can create different foods by customizing your recipes. Play at your own pace and enjoy the freedom of picking the ingredients you like.


Restore Your Island
Restore Your Island is a cleaning-up simulator. You and your dog have made a home on an island that is littered with trash and animals that need help. You’ll spend your days cleaning up the land and restoring the wildlife. As you play, you’ll be able to upgrade your tools to see quicker progress being made. I’ve played the demo of this game and it was pretty fun, it’s definitely more on the methodical side of gameplay.
High Above
High Above is a rooftop-building sandbox game where you’ll design and grow rooftop settings. Let your creativity guide you or accept gentle challenges from visitors to create their rooftop escapes. There are no timers and no stress, just pure creativity.


Missing the Point
Missing the Point is a fishing game where choices matter. You’ll experience a greyscale world that passes you by as you drift down the river, catching fish. Try to catch all the fish while you casually watch the world around you. Do you interact with it or leave it be?
Glitchy: Cute Loop
Glitchy: Cute Loop is an adorable spot-the-difference game that is primarily made for kids, but has higher levels of difficulty for older audiences. You’ll play as a Ghost Patrol and help different animals make sure everything is in place before bedtime, but the critters like to play their pranks, so it’s up to you to sort everything out.


Beyond Words
Beyond Words is a blend of roguelike strategy and word-crafting. You’ll play on a Scrabble-like board, creating words with letter tiles. With modifiers and abilities, you’ll be able to play cards that will change the rules and conditions. No two boards will feel the same, so you can play to your heart’s content.
Arcadia Fallen II
Arcadia Fallen II is a sequel to the role-playing visual novel, Arcadia Fallen. You’ll play as a senior at Seven Wins Academy and will choose between three different magical disciplines. Your choices will shape your personality, so choices matter. Depending on what you choose will decide your past and the puzzles that get presented to you. Stay friends with your companions or pick someone to romance. The dating pool is completely open and LGBTQ+ friendly.


Untimely Hidden: Patara
Untimely Hidden: Patara is a hidden object game where you play as a Time Agent called Jaxon. It’s your job to travel back in time to the ancient city of Patara and find all the modern-day objects that have been scattered there by your arch-nemesis.
Pictective 2: Around The World
Pictective 2: Around The World is a hidden object game where you help detective Doma with picture-matching challenges. You’ll find objects across 12 different countries, each of them sporting 9 pictures to match. It’s a shorter game, but there is a sepia mode if you want to challenge yourself, as well as a random mode & mirror mode for added difficulty.


Pluralys
Pluralys is an RPG exploration game where you play as Ellie. Your peaceful life is turned upside down by unexpected visitors who change everything about the world around you. With the use of a pager, you’ll be able to freeze time and see details that no one else can. By using it, you can analyze people, hack systems, and more! Explore the world, conquer mini games, and find the truth. Enjoy a mystery without combat and where choices matter.

Animal School is a simulation tycoon game where you play as a headmaster for an animal school. Paper Shakespeare 3: Girl Werewolf Hamlet Absolutely Solves the War of the Roses is a story-rich visual novel where choices matter. You’ll play as a bodyguard turned Champion and train 10 fellow students, helping them shape their future. Navigate court politics, rivalries, and the chaos between three factions: the humans, the fae, and the werewolves.
Whisker Wanderlust: Unwritten Chapter
Whisker Wanderlust: Unwritten Chapter is a hidden object game where you play as a cat who must find their human when they get pulled into a magic circle. You’ll fall into a magical world with hand-painted art and play through 10 levels, plus a hidden stage. Find over 1,500 items, experience a layered quest system, and collect gems and puzzle fragments to unlock the hidden stage.
