It’s National Hot Tea Day (January 12th), so if you’re looking for a list that spills the tea on cozy tea games, then this should be your first stop! These games mostly center around the art of making tea, but some of them serve up tea in the form of stories as well. Who doesn’t love a two-for-one special?
The list below also includes elements of poetry, a story of a missed connection, and a shop that is only open for 21 days. Learn more about what makes them steep below!
We do our best not to highlight games that use Generative AI at any level of development or marketing. At the time of posting, these games have not reported or disclosed using Gen AI. Likewise, all articles are written and edited by humans… as evidenced by our occasional errors.
3 cozy tea games

A TAVERN FOR TEA
A TAVERN FOR TEA is a tea-brewing interactive fiction. Listen to your customers’ worries and then brew up tea that they didn’t know they needed! Set in a tavern that sits between the boundary of demons and humans, you’ll follow the story of two customers and their missed connection.
Kemono Teatime
Kemono Teatime is a simulation adventure game where you brew up tea of your design using various ingredients. All things come to an end, however, and your time to experiment will need to be packed into 21 days. While this game is cute and has cute aesthetics, there is a poignant ending that is a little less than cozy. So, go in blind and experience a gripping story or check the reviews to see if it’s something you want to engage with.

Sips and Sonnets
Sips and Sonnets is a visual novel game with multiple endings where you run a tea shop in the British countryside. Play as Ms. Meadows, a poet at heart and a retired journalist. Listen to customers’ stories, brew tea, and craft poems based on your interactions throughout the day.
