There are 9 new cozy games out today and they span a fairly wide genre of game types! Whether you’re looking for a slow farming pace or want to fool your friends with a spy game, it’s all here!
We do our best not to highlight games that use Generative AI at any level of development or marketing. At the time of posting, these games have not reported or disclosed using Gen AI. Likewise, all articles are written and edited by humans… as evidenced by our occasional errors.
Cozy games released on January 6th, 2026

Sky traveler
Sky traveler is a life simulator set in a Japanese village. You’ll help the townsfolk rebuild the city by collecting resources across three different islands by way of a portal. Grow vegetables, mine stone, cut wood, and use them to improve buildings, sell for income, or complete quests with. When you want a change of pace or to get your hands dirty, you can visit the dungeons for greater rewards.
Final Frontier Story
Final Frontier Story is a city-building colony sim with shooter elements. Conquer a slice of space by creating an intergalactic city! Place stores, stalls, parks, and homes to create a cozy slice in the heavens. To achieve this goal, you’ll have to deal with monsters by using your Fighter Aircraft, which can be upgraded for maximum effect. Train up pilots so that you don’t have to go it alone!

SpyFall
SpyFall is a multiplayer game for up to 8 players. One player in your group is the detective, tasked to find the spies played by everyone else. As a spy, your mission is to blend in with the scene while completing secret tasks. Don’t do anything an NPC wouldn’t do, or you just might get caught! Test your skills across six different maps with unique atmospheres, characters, and tasks.
Don’t forget these, too!
- StarRupture – Base Building, Open World, Survival, Co-op
- The Dunkers – Side Scroller, Basketball
- Cosplayer’s Quest – Exploration, JRPG, Time Management
- Feed the Reactor – Idler, Clicker, Strategy, Auto Battler
- SIMS SPORTS RAID – Racing, Simulation
- Echoes of the Cave – Puzzle, 3D Platformer, Adventure
Which games from the list are you looking at? If I had a bigger friend group, SpyFall looks like it’d be a lot of fun with the various different maps and vibes. But, you know me, I’m side-eying Feed the Reactor because I’m a sucker for idlers of all kinds.
