We’ve spun around the sun once more and landed back at the start of a new year. 2024 brought us an amazing crop of cozy games and it’s a little sad to be doing the last roundup for it.
Nevertheless, we persist in the goal of cozy and comfort. While not everything in December was 10 outta 10, we certainly saw many notable titles added to the cozy game lineup.
Cozy Game Reviews

Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island is a game designed for me and players like me. I had to dig deep to find anything to complain about and trust me, the qualm is tiny. If you are a side quest gamer, then you’re going to want to grab this game. It’s rife with fetch quests and tasks to complete.
Loddlenaut is a really cute and cozy game. Methodically cleaning up biomes is incredibly relaxing. The art style and music are perfect accompaniments to an otherwise perfect game. The thing that weighs it down is the amount of back-and-forth traveling you have to do.

The Cabin Factory is not a game for the cozy gamer. You have to enjoy being scared because this game has the creep-factor down pat. Or I’m just a weenie. Overall, it’s a great addition to the genre, but I found some of the cabins to be vague in what is or isn’t haunted.
While Loco Motive is a visual masterpiece, the commendations are only surface-level. This game is riddled with ways to soft-lock yourself out of progress and game-breaking bugs. While I didn’t soft-lock myself, I did run into a bug where something broke during dialogue and left me unable to even get to the save screen. My only choice was to kill the game in task manager.

Laundry Store Simulator plays like all these types of games do. However, I found that it was able to carve out a little piece of the pie for itself and delivered a fairly good simulator game. It never left you just standing around at a register waiting for the next customer.
Gacha Fever is a fairly addictive bullet heaven game where your character auto-attacks, you just have to survive. The bright colors and cute designs pull you in, but you stay for the gacha pulls of useful items or characters to elevate your next game. I enjoy jumping into this game whenever I have a half-hour to spare.

The quality and style of the GUNNAR Tahoe gaming glasses is remarkable, easily some of the best in their catalog. But, the $250 price tag may scare away some people looking for great-looking, sturdy glasses on a budget.
If you’re looking for customization in your controller, a unique color scheme, options to play your favorite fighting games as if it were a fight pad, and tons of extra functionality, the PDP Victrix Pro BFG Tekken 8 Rage Art Edition is the right choice for you.

The amazing audio quality, clear microphone, and easy setup of the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 are slightly bogged down by a pretty weighty form factor that might make the top of your head sweat. It’s not a deal breaker, but the company offers much lighter headsets for the same price range already.
I’m a big fan of Turtle Beach’s controllers. The Stealth Pivot controller is just another in a long line of hits from the normally audio-focused brand. While it isn’t perfect in all ways, it’s a solid controller for the price that has a nice comfort in my hands and an absolute ton of built-in customization with the Pivot modules.

Fast Food Simulator is a good way to kill time, and on easy with the 8-minute days, you can expect to rack up a level per day. This means that things open up slowly, but consistently. If you’re looking for something more fast-paced, you have a bunch of harder levels to dive into.

Uncle Chop’s Rocket Shop: While this game certainly doesn’t fit the cozy vibes we’re usually looking for. I was taken in by the promise that there were options you could turn on to make things cozier. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get further than 10 minutes into the game because of a bug that broke progression. I got locked out of being able to power up my shop, which is integral to playing the game. Even after restarting completely over, I ran into the same issue.
