Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is a favorite over here on Comfy Cozy Gaming. We adore the spirits and customization options, and if you’re curious about everything Spirit City has to offer, you can check out the review we did of it when it first launched.
There’s so much to love about Spirit City, and that love isn’t stagnant. We have another update to discuss that brings a new spirit, new colors, more avatar and decoration items, as well as a new activity. And, Mac users can finally know the joy of this game because this new update comes with MacOS support!
For Mac users, you’ll enjoy all the same features as Windows users except for the “always on top” mode. This just means that your game won’t stay upfront and center if you’re clicking around outside of the game. In terms of missing features, this one is truly the mildest and best-case scenario.
The only thing you have to consider is the required specs to run on a Mac. Due to the way the game was built, you likely will have problems on any Mac made before 2020, but should be fine on any systems after that. And, if you find yourself in possession of a Mac and Windows OS, then your game will be cross-compatible. Just make sure that both systems have the latest updates to ensure your saves aren’t wonky.
As for the Spring update, we’ve got a burst of new content that’s inspired by the cherry blossom season in Japan. There’s a ton here, so let’s just run a bullet point list.
Spirit City: Lofi Sessions Spring Update

- New background featuring Japanese scenery
- New Spring-inspired Spirit
- 50+ room items with color customization
- 50 avatar items have been updated with color customization
- 2 flower headbands
- 2 cherry blossom items for your room and kitchen in the side item section of decor
- 22 cherry blossom skins for base game spirits
- 2 kitsune-theme skins for Twintail
- 3 Kitchen Cozy DLC spirits (Capybun, Bubble Ducky, and Squire Sprout) have spring-themed skins
- Sweeping activity has been added for the bay window
- A new playlist is available with over 20 new songs
- Session time is fully redesigned and is more intuitive
- A save tab has been added to the settings menu
- Cozy Kitchen DLC Spirits now have their own tabs
- Head accessories, hair, eyebrows, and facial hair have the new color customization
There’s so much with this update, and I love that there are some things that have been fixed. Before this update, the Cozy Kitchen DLC added more variant types to some of the base game spirits and could only be found under their tabs. The fact that they all have their individual slots now makes it so much easier to see your spirits and pick who you want to pal around with.
Lastly, I want to talk about the roadmap we’ve been shown currently for 2025. We just got the big Spring update, but it looks like we’ll be able to look forward to a Summer update in July!
For the summer update, we can expect to see a new spirit, a beach window background, summer soundscapes, tropical drink and snack items, sandals, and sunglasses.
What does the future hold for Spirit City: Lofi Sessions?

For future updates, we don’t have any set times, but we do know that we can look forward to new spirits, hair styles, soundscapes and music, avatar face customization, wardrobe area customization, productivity history/stat and tool updates, as well as “more everything” and a new paid DLC expansion.
Spirit City: Lofi Sessions has so much heart already, and it’s exciting to see that it still has more to give. It has never been a better time than now to enjoy Spirit City: Lofi Sessions. If you’d like to grab the game, you can get it for $11.99 normally or enjoy a 30% discount until May 26, which makes the game only $8.39.
