It’s the last day of December and you know what that means! Yup, new cozy games are on the horizon! …and I guess a new year, too. But, most importantly, a return to regular releases. I’m stoked. My body is ready! The games we’ve highlighted in the last half of this month haven’t been lacking in quality, but I’m feeling the lack of quantity. I want to be spoiled for choice again.
We do our best not to highlight games that use Generative AI at any level of development or marketing. At the time of posting, these games have not reported or disclosed using Gen AI. Likewise, all articles are written and edited by humans… as evidenced by our occasional errors.
Cozy Games Today: December 30th, 2025

Buttons Up!
Buttons Up! is an incremental game where you collect buttons and keep them safe from thieves. The more buttons you have, the more upgrades you can implement and automate your button-collecting operation.
Laugh It Up
Laugh It Up is a card game that you can play with 3-6 players. If you’ve ever played Cards Against Humanity, then you get the idea here. However, you have the ability to make your own cards to customize the game for you and your friends. By winning games, you’ll unlock tokens and can use those tokens to customize your deck further.

Deepfried in Deepspace
Deepfried in Deepspace is a turn-based strategy game that’s a bit more action-based than most cozy options. But, it’s cozy for someone and it’s got an interesting vibe to it. Work at a restaurant in space and make food for customers by taking orders, beating up the back fridge beasties for ingredients, and putting together the order.
More games to check out!
- No Other Alchemists Here – Roguelite, Time Management, Strategy, Crafting
- Arrow Spire: Tower Defense – Tower Defense, Strategy, Idler
Which of these games are you interested in? I’m down to hoard buttons in Buttons Up! and if I had friends, I’d likely enjoy playing Laugh It Up.
If none of these games put the new in your year, you can check out our Cozy Games Today tag for more recently released games out on Steam.
