Merry Christmas Eve Eve! Cozy games are hard to spot in the wild as we draw nearer to a major holiday, but I’m out here trying my best! Once again, my definition of cozy is a little stretched by the stereotypical means, but I’ve managed to scrape together a list for you to sift through!

We do our best not to highlight games that use Generative AI at any level of development or marketing. At the time of posting, these games have not reported or disclosed using Gen AI. Likewise, all articles are written and edited by humans… as evidenced by our occasional errors.

Collect All These Stones! (CATS)

Collect All These Stones! (CATS)

Collect All These Stones! (CATS) is a resource management idler. By either employing human workers or collector drones, you’ll mine up level after level of resources. The deeper you dig, the better the reward. You can use your earnings to upgrade your mining efficiency!

Steam

Blackhole Survivors

Blackhole Survivors is a fast-paced survival where you control a black hole. You’ll level up through absorbing planets and earn the ability to upgrade various attributes for your black hole. Your goal is to try and survive as long as possible. Not the coziest setup, but it looks like it plays very much like Hole.io, which can be cozy in its own way.

International Basketball Manager 26

International Basketball Manager 26

International Basketball Manager 26 is a strategy sports game where you take control of your own team and lead them to victory. You’ll manage players, plan training, sign the best athletes, and master tactics. Every decision counts, so manage your team wisely!

Steam

Do any of these scratch that cozy game itch for you? I’m mildly intrigued by Collect All These Stones! (CATS), it’s interesting to watch the sections get auto-mined. But, otherwise, I’m just out here in the trenches. I had a different game lined up in the last spot until I got to the bulk of their game description and they forgot to edit out the ChatGPT [Your Game Name] insert.

Sigh. I’m begging you. If you can’t even describe your own game, don’t make it. You, as the developer, should be the foremost authority on how to describe your game.

ANYWHO.

If none of these put the star on your Christmas tree, you can check out our Cozy Games Today tag. I normally point you to my most recent articles, but it’s slim pickin’ until after the holiday season.
