If you’re a fan of the more cozy side of horror games, the Amanda the Adventurer series is likely already on your radar. Back in June, the MANGLEDmaw Games and DreadXP teams teased the final installment, Amanda the Adventurer 3, with a prequel demo that sets up for the thrilling and tragic conclusion. And, now, we have a release date: November 6th, 2025.

If you’re unfamiliar with Amanda the Advenurer, the game sets you as a character named Riley. Riley’s aunt has gone missing, and they find clues to a big demonic conspiracy involving old VHS tapes of a Dora the Explorer-like children’s show, aptly named Amanda the Adventurer, and an evil corporation named Hameln. Watching the tapes offers clues back and forth between Riley’s surroundings in each title, in an escape room-esque gameplay, to continue to solve the mystery.

The first game was set in Aunt Kate’s attic, which led to the second game taking place in the local public library where Kate worked. Without spoiling the series, if you haven’t played it yet, this final chapter will send Riley down into the underground Hameln Entertainment facility to “find her”. Whether that is referring to Aunt Kate or Amanda herself remains to be seen.

According to the press release from DreadXP, here’s what you can expect from Amanda the Adventurer 3:

  • Challenging, escape room-style puzzles using clues hidden within the tapes.
  • Interact with Amanda and friends in an all-new series of 90s-style CGI adventures!
  • New Area: You’re not at the Kensdale Public Library anymore! Explore an abandoned Hameln facility with decades of secrets to uncover.
  • Bring closure to the story of Amanda, Riley, Aunt Kate, and everyone affected by the sinister production of Amanda the Adventurer and Hameln Entertainment’s mysterious motivations.

The demo for Amanda the Adventurer 3 was clearly set in the past, as you play as an unnamed character in that same facility. So, if you haven’t tried the demo yet, it’s worth trying it out to get a feel for the type of game to expect and to give you additional clues for the main game when it launches.

You can play the full Amanda the Adventurer 3 Steam release on November 6th, 2025. If you’re a big fan of horror games, you should also grab both Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit and Bendy and the Ink Machine, which will both be free on October 30th through the Epic Games Store.
