Steam Summer Sale is here and filled to the brim with a lot of amazing games! I know it can feel a little overwhelming when it comes to trying to narrow down your choices, especially if you’re working within a budget. You want to take advantage of the sale, but you also want to make sure that you’re going to enjoy your final choices.

For this reason, I’ve compiled a list of tried and true games that are in the Steam Summer Sale. Everything here is certifiably cozy and will have my review linked so that you can get the details on the good and the bad of every game recommendation below.

I’ve put them in order of my personal score and included the links to the DLCs that I’ve played. This doesn’t mean that there aren’t more DLCs available for certain games.

Love, Ghostie

Score: 10

Quick Verdict: Love, Ghostie isn’t just a cute little matchmaking game. Everyone in the house is accepted and even celebrated for their different interests/traits. The art is charming, the dialogue is engaging, and I feel pretty fulfilled in the matches I made. While the game is short, the replayability nullifies that.

Minami Lane - Cozy Games

Minami Lane

Score: 10

Quick Verdict: Honestly, I don’t have anything bad to say. Minami Lane is short and sweet, but it’s delightful the whole way through.

Alba: A Wildlife Adventure

Score: 10

Quick Verdict: Alba: A Wildlife Adventure was a joy to play. Not only were the sounds realistic, but the attention to the design of the animals to get them right was spectacular. It’s a fun, chill experience about beating capitalism as well as prioritizing and respecting the homes of wildlife.

Little Kitty, Big City - Cozy Game

Little Kitty, Big City

Score: 9

Quick Verdict: Little Kitty, Big City is nearly flawless. There are some graphics issues where you fall into places you aren’t supposed to be, but autosaving keeps it from being too much of a problem. If not for that, it would have been an easy 10. It’s precious, cozy, and free on Xbox Game Pass. Don’t sleep on it.

Spirit City: Lofi Sessions

Score: 9

Quick Verdict: Although it’s not really a game, Spirit City: Lofi Sessions will have you wanting to play just to find and spend time with your spirits. It’s a great focus tool that’s visually pleasing with customizable sounds to suit your needs.

Wylde Flowers

Wylde Flowers

Score: 9

Quick Verdict: Wylde Flowers should be in every cozy game collection, but you will lose hours to it, so don’t play it before getting your work done for the day.

Loddlenaut

Score: 9

Quick Verdict: Loddlenaut is a really cute and cozy game. Methodically cleaning up biomes is incredibly relaxing. The art style and music are perfect accompaniments to an otherwise perfect game. The thing that weighs it down is the amount of back-and-forth traveling you have to do.

Mika and the Witch's Mountain

Mika and the Witch’s Mountain

Score: 9

Quick Verdict: Mika and the Witch’s Mountain is about an 8-hour game that lets you zoom around delivering packages and finding collectibles. I had a lot of fun exploring the island and getting to live my best witch life.

Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator

Score: 9

Quick Verdict: I highly recommend this visually stunning game. It’s got so much to love and very little to dislike – I’m looking at you, early game inventory system that I managed to overload immediately. From the sounds to the tasks, Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator was so relaxing and fun.

Galaxy Burger - discounted cozy games

Galaxy Burger

Score: 9

Quick Verdict: While Galaxy Burger seems like the type of game that would require high intensity and attention to detail, you can just sit back and relax. With no time limits and no huge penalties, you can make burgers to your heart’s content either by yourself or with friends – up to 7 of them!

Paper Trail

Score: 9

Quick Verdict: While Paper Trail isn’t your run of the mill cozy game, it’s a lot of fun and definitely meditative in its own way. Puzzle lovers are going to love the mechanics of this one.

Cat Cafe Manager

Cat Cafe Manager

Score: 8

Quick Verdict: Cat Cafe Manager is a great choice for people that love time management games. It’s got cute art and the system it’s built on works fairly well. There’s nothing exciting about how the game plays, but it’s a tried and true formula that is nostalgic and cozy.

Fruitbus

Score: 8

Quick Verdict: While Fruitbus had a few bugs and challenges, it’s a pretty good game that I think a lot of people will enjoy playing. With no timers, you get to explore as you want and bop around the island making food, foraging for ingredients, and completing quests.

A Little to the Left and Cupboards & Drawers DLC

A Little to the Left

Score: 8

Quick Verdict: For puzzle lovers who want low stress, A Little to the Left is a perfect addition to any game library. However, there is a slight bug where spending too much time on a puzzle almost stalls it out and you’ll have to restart a level.

Quick Verdict: If you’re looking for a cute little sticker designing experience with a lite gamification to it, then Sticky Business is everything you need.
