Valley Peaks is great on paper and even performs in practice, but the art style that made it so charming reared back on me and snapped hard. Every time I open this game, I get a pretty bad headache.

Ova Magica took an idea, sprinkled in influences from Stardew Valley, Wylde Flowers, and Pokémon, and baked a really special game out of it. Also, I’m just a sucker for slimes which are accurately called, “blobs” in this game world.
