We did it! 2025 is officially behind us and we have a whole new year of cozy games to settle into! I’m not really the type for resolutions or viewing it as wiping the slate clean. But, I am willing to start a new movement. New year, new games. The world is stressful and we need some R & R.
I’m looking forward to playing more cozy games and sharing them with you guys. What I’m not looking forward to is trying to overwrite muscle memory. If you see me out here still typing 2025, no, you didn’t.
Unfortunately, we’re still digesting holiday drought, so today is still a light offering of games. But, we’re about to come out on the other side, flush with opportunities!
We do our best not to highlight games that use Generative AI at any level of development or marketing. At the time of posting, these games have not reported or disclosed using Gen AI. Likewise, all articles are written and edited by humans… as evidenced by our occasional errors.
Cozy Games Today: January 1st, 2026

FloraLumina
FloraLumina is an idle game with time management elements. Plant and nurture a bunch of different flowers that will grow in real time and are affected by the weather and time of day. You can encourage them to grow quicker with intervention or let them flourish more slowly while you sit back and watch. Choose decorative flower pots, enjoy ambient music, and discover 20 flower types with the chance of finding rarer color variants.
Monstro Maestro
Monstro Maestro is an action-adventure platformer where you play as a conductor trapped in a mansion. You’ll fight your way through diverse biomes against various types of monsters to the beat of the music in that area. It’s a bit more action-packed and may not be the coziest game, but it looks like fun and lovers of Megaman X and Hollow Knight may enjoy this game influenced by those series.

Inner Peace
Inner Peace is less of a game and more of a physics sandbox that requires a VR headset to play. You’ll bounce balls around 3 different maps, completing 9 challenges. Collect secrets, energy rings, and collectibles as you direct balls to ricochet off bouncers.
I normally don’t highlight VR games, but I work with what I’m given! We’ll soon see the wealth of games flooding in, but until then, stay bundled up and lean back on some old favorites.
If none of these games put the new in your year, you can check out our Cozy Games Today tag for more recently released games.
